Labour Market Intelligence

Labour Market Information and Intelligence (LMI) is used across the skills, qualifications and employment system to support the development of policies and programmes that meet the needs of individuals, employers, and the wider economy. This information can include details on the age profile of the workforce, its qualifications level, and the size of businesses in a sector - amongst many other things.

SSCs are responsible for the production of sectoral LMI, at a Scottish level. As an Alliance, SSCs work together to ensure this information meets the needs of policy makers, and that the information provided is consistent and comparable.
