Scottish LMI Sector Profiles

The Alliance Scotland publishes a series of Scottish Sector Profiles on a biennial basis which give a clear view on how Scottish industry is performing.

Each report focuses on a range of SSCs, from banking to butchery, engineering to healthcare, and fish farming to mining, to name but a few. The research's principal data source is the Scottish Employers Skills Survey (SESS), which is a survey undertaken by the Scottish Government.

The reports have provided research on key areas affecting Scottish industry including gender, occupation, employment, age and distribution of the workforce, the demand for skills and qualifications, recruitment issues as well as what employers think are the main challenges in their sectors.
